Adoption Procedure

Cat Action Trust 1977 do everything possible to ensure all the cats and kittens we rehome have long, happy, healthy lives. Each animal is neutered and vaccinated when old enough, and all are up to date with flea and worm treatment and health checked by our vet.

As all of our rescued cats and kittens are looked after in foster homes, we ask that we do a home check prior to you visiting any of our animals, this is a very friendly and informal process. Ideally we do not rehome to houses directly on main roads, railway lines, or canals or rivers, unless the home has a fully secure garden. Some animals can live happily as indoor only pets, please read the profiles.

Our adoption forms state that each animal must be neutered (if not already done) and vaccinated (or boosters each year), and also never let out at night. They also must have access to a litter tray for the rest of their life. The animal must not be passed on to anyone else, without the permission of a Cat Action Trust 1977 representative. Please bear this in mind when contacting us.

We ask for a minimum donation per animal. This amount will be discussed at the first contact with Cat Action Trust 1977, and is payable in full on collection of the cat/s or kitten/s This amount is to help to cover some of the costs we have spent on the animal.
